Visit the Three Giant Retail Travel Sites
As you cruise various travel reservations Web sites, you’ll find that most ‘‘guarantee’’ their prices are the lowest. Do not be deceived by such claims and continue to check all sources. And keep in mind that airfare availability and fares can and do change minute by minute, day by day. What may seem like a low fare at 3 PM may be superseded by an even better (or worse) fare at 3:05 PM! We have seen instances where a great airfare that was available one minute had vanished the next!
By far the most established and bestknown retail travel reservations sites are Orbitz.com, Travelocity.com, and Expedia.com. These should be the starting points for any airfare search to set the standard retail price.
